I live in Northern Michigan and need a garlic that will grow well in my climate. I have never tried to grow them and need some suggestions, because I need to order some for fall planting.. I think? I hear hardneck is suppose to be better for the Northern climates. I wonder if there are any softneck varieties that work.

I don't know much about growing garlic yet, but I do know that MaryJane grows bushels of rare soft & hardneck varieties (and she's in Idaho).
