Ok, here's the lowdown on my home according to Chec:
The risks to your home's air quality are high. This means that you should definitely take steps to prevent indoor air pollutants from building up inside your home. That means improving ventilation, testing for radon, and reducing use of chemical products in the home.
We rely on wood heat (indoor woodstove) almost exclusively through the winter, and we don't check for nasty gases - I think we'll start doing that.
The risks to your home's water quality are generally low. Test your water yearly to ensure that your water remains safe.
We drink bottled water (glass bottles) & shower etc in spring water.
Your family's food risks are generally low.
Yea!
Your family's pesticide exposure risks are low. In general, the limited use of pesticides in and around your home will keep your family safer. Note, though, that children may be exposed to pesticides at school.
Double Yea! Except for the school pesticides - I worry about that. Have considered asking the school when they spray & keeping the kids home at those times.
Your family's general household risk is low. Your home, its location and decor do not pose a significant risk to your family, or you have made an attempt to reduce existing or potential risks.
Triple Yea!
