Washington Outdoor Women also offers one-day Shotgun workshops throughout the year which focus on the basics of shotgun safety, handling and technique, with several hours for shooting clay targets. Skills are taught by certified instructors and all equipment and supplies are provided by WOW. The $80.00 fee includes instruction, shotguns, ammo, clays, lunch and a WOW T-shirt. Shotgun safety is not taught at the weekend workshops.

Upcoming Workshop: Sunday, June 8th, 2008 9:30a.m.~ 4:00 p.m.
At the conclusion of this workshop, women should be able to identify and locate the major parts of a shotgun, barrel sizes, and five different types of actions. They will understand the components of a shotgun and how a shotgun operates.
Women attending will learn and be able to demonstrate how to handle a shotgun in a safe manner; how to safely load, unload and carry a shotgun safely. They will clean a shotgun.
Women will be introduced to basic trapshooting skills. These include establishing dominant eye, stance, how to mount a shotgun, eye placement, barrel placement and follow-through. Each participant will shoot 25-40 shells at moving clay targets.
