Who cleans the fish when you go with your family or friends? In the family I grew up in it was whoever was the last one to catch their first fish of the day (make sense?)They had to clean all the fish that day. With my own family I am always the designated fish cleaner since I like them REALLY clean..and honestly..little boys don't do a great job. BUT if my grown boys are home THEY have to help...and we do the old family rule. I really don't mind cleaning them..but don't tell my kids. |

My hub usually does it, but I've done my share, and it's about time we teach the girls. That filet knife is just so sharp....they love to inspect the gut contents, though, to see what the fish have been eating!

I usually see if someone else will "volunteer," before I jump in and do it! But a girlfriend of mine showed me a lightning-fast way (not the most complete - you have to do a little clean-up job at home) that culminates with what had my 4-year-old staring slack-jawed at her - ya' just pop those lil' eyeballs out - I think she said, "See, Will - ya' just go 'Plink, plink!' and you're done!" Okay, that was probably too graphic, but the look on his face!!! He wanted to try it on the next one, but we didn't catch any more. Somehow, I think that might've been for the best...
