Posted - Jul 01 2007 : 12:20:24 AM Can you spot our 2007 calf, just under her mom "Delta". She calves here every year/other. She is a gentle soul, but we keep our distance, especially with a new young one. We call this area our moose meadow, the grass becomes high and they can be hard to see, especially when the days shorten up in late july/august. It's next to our house. jo

Posted - Jul 01 2007 : 10:16:38 PM She's actually in really beautiful shape, very healthy, the day was in the low 60's as usual for here, so I think she was pretty comfortable. Her ears are forward so she's pretty relaxed and alert to her calf. jo |

Posted - Jul 01 2007 : 1:14:39 PM moose meadow looks inviting to me too
appears like she is hot... was it the pregnancy/nursing the calf or heat resulting in the thin back?
